  15. Logan was an amazing kid. Always uplifting and he stayed possitive... even in the worst. He was an awesome friend to have. He was an amazing athlete and will always remember. Today in the 8th period Mrs. Holmes class we decided that Nov. 19 was "Remembering Logan Day"

  19. DEAR, dear Tonya & girls,
    I am SO sorry for your loss. I am just heartbroken. Logan had such a beautiful smile just like YOU Tonya! What beautiful pictures you all have! You all are so blessed, and so loved by so many in this community. Logan's death has affected many, many people. Know that he is up in heaven now. Just today I drove past the site and saw practically a "shrine" set up full of balloons, teddy bears, flowers, etc. So many people miss him and are hurt.

  24. I didn’t know Logan all that well. I first met him in Boy Scouts. He joined the troop a few months before I dropped out. I also played basketball against him when he was in 5th grade and I was in 6th grade. At pre- season basketball, I watched him play. I thought that he was pretty good and that he would have a good chance of making the team. I was on the 7th grade team last year, so I thought if he made the 7th grade team and I made the 8th grade team that I could set an example or something for all the sevies. I’m going to miss him.

  33. I am so sorry for your loss. It was with great pleasure that I was able to be one of Logan’s teachers. He was always very kind and considerate of others. It was apparent that he was well liked by both his peers and teachers.

    I knew your son for only a short time but as I comforted and listened to our students I witnessed the positive impact Logan had on so many. The only comments I heard from students were ones of endearment. “He was the nicest guys you could ever know” or “He was always so happy,” or “He never had anything bad to say about anyone.” We will all miss him very much.

    You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  38. Dear Tonya,
    I deeply regret that I will be unable to attend Logan's memorial service on Monday, as I am in East Texas visiting our 3 youngest grandchildren.
    Logan was a sweetheart and really loved the Lord.
    I had the pleasure of teaching him in Good News Club for the last several years (6?) and was pleased that he was faithfully attending the Christian Encouragement Club at the middle school. Apparently he didn't attend this week and was excited about something else he had planned. Little did anyone know that he would soon be in the arms of our heavenly Father.
    My heart goes out to you and your family, and you are constantly in my prayers.

  40. Logan was my best friend. I have missed him so much since we moved to Las Vegas. I am so sad that this has happened, he was such a good friend to me. I want to come to the services for Logan so badly, but I won't be able to. I was hoping to comfort his family and help them feel a little better, because I know that they are so sad. He is the best friend I could ever have and when I heard the news I could not belive it was my friend, Logan. I know that we will all see him again. I remenber all of the activites that we would do together, such as, riding bikes, playing games of all kinds, watching movies with him, playing sports, jumping on the trampoline, we did almost every thing together.
    I remember a story about a little boy who's father had died. He said, "My daddy is gone right now but me and my family will see him again."

  42. I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Logan for awhile and I am going to miss him a lot. I will always remember him as the guy who smiled and laughed a lot. I am lucky to have known him and be his friend. I love you Logan.

  43. We are all heartbroken- words cannot even begin to express our sorrow. May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, help to comfort your family now and in the days ahead.

  44. We only know Logan through our family, Jeff & Beth, Amanda & John. Logan certainly won their hearts with his smile and outgoing friendliness. They miss him. To suffer the loss of a child is to know a loss unlike any other. It means letting go of a beautiful part of your life. No one can possibly know how you're feeling right now, but those who care about you are thinking of you with compassion and sorrow.
    Sincerely,

  45. In memory of Logan: Do not stand on my grave and weep I am not there I do not sleep. I am the gentle glints of diamonds on the snow. I am the cool breeze that blows through the trees. I am the colors in the sky. I am the voice you hear inside when you feel like giving up. Do not stand on my grave and cry I am not there I did not die. I hope this is comforting to others I wrote and dedicated it to someone special that I lost and wanted to share it in memory of Logan Collins. My daughter Haleigh said that he loved to make others laugh. She will never forget how wonderful he is we are keeping his family and friends in our prayers.

  46. Hello all. This will be a short note to tell you how much I (we) appreciate your kind words, prayers, and all the love and help you have shown as a community and beyond. I know the Lord that I love and cherish will get us through these tough times. I'm not sure why he decided to call my son home, but I know that Logan has fulfilled his calling on this earth! Obviously he impacted the lives of many - many more than I ever imagined.
    I am comforted that I know I will see him again - I just have to learn to live without him on earth.
    I will write more later. Please pray for strength for us to get through the next 2 days specifically. I know it will take an amazing amount of strength. Each meal that's brought over - we'll say "oh, that's Logan's favorite" or as we've been planning the service for Monday we smile that Logan will absolutely love what we have in store for him. I know he will be there with us.
    Love to you all. Thank you for the absolutely amazing outpouring of love I've ever witnessed.

    Tonya and the rest of the family

  48. with the way the world has become I believe that God sends us someone special to help us. Logan was that angel. He touched a whole community and brought us together and reminded us of what is truly important. I know everyone will take something from this and Logan will live on as the angel who brought a whole community together. Time here on earth is temporary and I know that when our time comes we will be with our loved ones and never lose eachother again. Logan is looking upon us all and is happy that he brought a community together and touched so many. I did not know him my daughter did and we are greatful to the angel that taught us to come together and love eachother and don't take anyone for granted he will live on through us all. We are praying for all of you!

  49. The Lord is Logan's Shepherd;
    Logan is in need of nothing.
    He causes Logan to lie down in green pastures.
    He leads Logan beside still waters.
    He has restored Logan's soul.
    He lead Logan in paths of righteousness
    for His name's sake.

    Even though Logan walked through the valley of the shadow of death,
    Logan feared no evil,
    for He was with him;
    His rod and His staff
    comforted Logan.

    He prepares a table before Logan
    in the presence of his enemies;
    He anoints Logan's head with oil;
    Logan's cup overflows.
    Surely goodness and mercy followed Logan
    all the days of his life,
    and now Logan shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.

  50. From Haleigh Sparks: I've known Logan for a long time and I know for a fact that no one will ever have bad memories of Logan. All he tried to do is make people happy that seemed important to him. When someone was down he was the one to step up and be a hero. We will always cherish who he is. We will miss him. My grandpa Davy Sparks went to school with his uncle. They where good friends and so were me and Logan.

  51. I never met Logan, but heard about him through one of his teachers and my brother-in-law, TJ Bonzon. Logan's beautiful smile in these photos is infectious. It is obvious that he is greatly loved by multitudes. I am so sorry for your loss, and just wanted to let you know that friends who live as far away as Texas are praying God's strength and peace for you and your family during this difficult time. 52. Logan was my best friend. We had so much fun together especially this past Halloween. We made it to so many houses in White Rock. He brought a pillow case and he thought it was so funny that I brought a garbage bag. We filled our bags and he could barely grab his pillow case because it was so full when we were done. We then had a sock fight and a sleep over. I am so glad to have done that together. We had so much fun together at Chamisa and I have many great memories of field trip bus rides together. He always liked to tell jokes. I going to miss Logan so much. His family has always been so nice to me and I just feel so bad for you. Eric Larson

  53. Logan was a friend of mine and in my 7th period writing class. We always laughed at his stories.

    Some people have to work to get to heaven. That's why all of us are still here. We're working to get there. Logan, was such a good person, God decided he didn't have to work anymore. He proved to God he could be a good person, and so he was taken to heaven early. He's in the Inbetween now, just in case we need him there, if we need his comfort, his love. But once we are alright, and we stop crying and start smiling again, he can go to heaven and wait for us. See ya on the other side bud.

  54. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with your family during this difficult time of loss and mourning of Logan's passing. I know words are not enough to express what so many people already have to you. Please know that the staff here at LAMS definitely love all of the children that come through our doors and touch our lives. Logan will be greatly missed and I ask the Sovereign Father above to comfort you and provide for you during these difficult days ahead. Mr. Pete Bowman

  55. Collins Family - there are absolutely no words that can express my brokenness for you and the loss of Logan. I am sooooo very sorry for your loss and pain. I have such fond memories - I was thinking about when Otis and I took Taylor and Logan to the park and taught them to crack peanuts. Logan was so excited and just wanted to crack all of them - he didn't really care about eating them! And then we let them roll down the hill (in their Sunday clothes) and they laughed and laughed and they reminded us that day about things that are really important - like having fun, laughing and making memories and not worrying about keeping the clothes from getting stained! Logan was such a gentle, sweet boy and we loved him and will miss him! We continue to pray for you and the family. May God bless you and comfort you and surround you with His love. Love and prayers - Karen Evans

  57. Tonya, Taylor and family,

    I watched the recent news clip from KQE 13 and started crying again. I think of you all often and how hard it must still be for you. I did not get a chance to talk to you and express my sympathy during the memorial or after. I'm sure it was comforting, but overwhelming. I hope to see you soon in WR or at Chamisa. Hallie and I grieve Logan's loss. We are all effected, since we knew him to be a kind and gentle soul, touched by the angels who care for children taken before their time.
    Respectfully, Hallie and Jenifer Thayer
